John Peel, Dave Demo, Bill Wolf and I returned from the 2009 Convention today with a few goodies to share. I want to thank everyone in the council and your families for a great and successful year. I am please to say that council 9880 won several awards this year. First we achieved "Gold Golf Ball Status" for membership! We came in at 4 under par for the year to date! The golfers out there knows that is pretty good. Along with that we won a membership award. We were 100-125% for membership quota. For that we received a certificate. Next our council came in 2nd place for the Scrapbook contest! I'd like to personally thank Tom, Tencha and Susan Smith for making the book on such short notice (about one week). I'd also like to say thanks to everyone in the council for your participation at the events to fill those pages with smiling faces. Lastly, we achieved Fraternity Council with our service programs! That award is based on three levels, Unity, Charity and Fraternity. I will be bring all these awards to the next meeting so that we can display our new awards in the display case.
