Meeting called to order at

Council Officers role call
X
Reading of the Minutes.
Motion to accept the business meeting minutes was put forward. The motion
past by the membership.

State Deputy John Gouldie was
a guest at our meeting.
Grand Knight’s Report:
X
Parish Fair will be held on
Sept 7-8. Bill Wolf will investigate the possibility of having the Council
run the beer booth concession or the American Booth.
X
The council will sponsor an
Irish Dinner on March 15, 2008. There is a possibility we will have Irish
Dancers. Contact Ed Cody for advance information.
X
Oktoberfest will be held on
October 5th and 6th and will be sponsored by the HSA
and the Council. We need to plan for the food preparation and service.

A Third Degree will be held on
September 29 at St. Michael’s in Cary.
X
Sabrina Goldman from the Right
to Life organization contacted Bill Wolf about a Mass scheduled for August
4, 9:00am at St. Raphael’s. Bill is trying to find out what she needs in
the way of help from the Council.

been paid.

We have 146 recorded members.

$1,200 has been collected for
the 2007 membership dues.
Trustee’s Report:

Jim Lueck reported that the
installation of officers for the Council will be held on Saturday, July 21
in the Lewis Room after 5:30 Mass. A dinner will be provided to celebrate
the occasion.
Service Programs:
X
Bill Hast reported that the
Capital Towers program was held as scheduled on July 7. Rick Gall,
Elizabeth and Bernie Brown, Joe Halloran and Dave Demo worked to do odd jobs
for the seniors.

Bill Wolf reported that we
have a candidate for one of the two RSVP positions this year. His name is
Patrick McLaughlin. He is a senior at Cardinal Gibbons and he intends to
enter the seminary. His parents are members of St. Raphael’s. We are
seeking the name of a sister from Sister Dolly as the second candidate.
Old Business:

Dave Demo reported that
Operation Lamb 2007 will be held on Sept. 21, 22 and 23 and October 12, 13,
and 14. We will solicit at the Harris Teeter at Spring Forest and Falls of
Neuse, K-Mart at Strickland and Six Forks, and possibly Wal-Mart on New Hope
Church. We will be working 2-hour shifts this year. We need volunteers.
The schedule will be posted in the Knightlife.

John Gunther is planning to
organize a retreat at the beach for one weekend in January. Please give him
some feedback if you would like to attend.

Tom Smith is still looking for
volunteers to learn the parts so that we can certify our 1st
degree team
New Business:
X
The K of C State Golf
Tournament will be held in Jacksonville, NC on September 15 and 16. There
is information on the K of C - NC website (http://www.kofcnc.org).
Fourth Degree Report:
X
A Fourth Degree
exemplification will be held in Concord, NC at the Embassy Suites in
October. Tom Smith has applications.

John Gouldie reported on the
State Installation of Officers, which will be held on July 12, 13 and 14 at
the Sheraton Imperial in Durham. A First Degree will be held at 8:30pm on
Friday. Various training sessions will be held on Saturday and Sunday to
address subjects such as Operation Lamb, Public Relations, Meeting, etc.
The Installation Mass will be at 5:00pm on Saturday.

The Mid-year Meeting will be a
one-day session held in Greenville, NC on the 3rd weekend in
January.
